Privacy policy

Last updated 26 October 2026

AIBlogWrite is run by Octopi Digital LLC (“we”). AIBlogWriter, AIBlogWrite and FreeBlogWriter are the same service with one account system, so this policy covers all of them: the websites, the account pages, our WordPress plugin, our Shopify and Wix apps, and our Next.js package. It explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect

  • Your account: your name, email address and password. We store the password only as a one-way hash, never as you typed it.
  • Your plan and payments: your plan, its dates, your invoices, and the type and last four digits of your card. We never store the full card number.
  • Your website: its address, the list of its pages (so posts can link to them), text from its pages (to fill in your business profile), your business profile, your settings, your topics and schedules, and the posts we write for you.
  • What our apps can reach on your website: our Shopify app can read and write your blog posts and read your products and pages; our Wix app can write blog posts and picks the site member they are published as. Neither reads your customers or orders. Our WordPress plugin and Next.js package work only with the posts we write.
  • Images you upload for your posts. We keep them so your posts can show them.
  • What happens to our posts on your website: our WordPress plugin tells us when a post we wrote is published, unpublished, scheduled or deleted, so we stop reminding you about drafts you have already published.
  • Visits to your posts: our WordPress plugin counts views, visitors, impressions and clicks on the calls to action in the posts we write, and sends us the daily totals so your Dashboard shows them. A visitor is recognised for one day by a one-way hash of the day, their IP address and browser; nothing that identifies them is stored or sent to us, no cookies are set, and the hashes are deleted after two days.
  • Our free SEO checker: the website address you check, when you checked it, and the report. We keep them so your report link keeps working and to improve the checker. We do not store your IP address with them.
  • Your messages to us: the support requests you send from the plugin, the apps or your account, and our replies.
  • Your own AI key, if you choose the Own API key plan. It is stored encrypted and used only to write your posts.

How we use it

  • To run your account, write your posts and deliver them to your website.
  • To bill you for a paid plan and keep the records the law asks for.
  • To email you about your account and your posts. Reminders and tips can be switched off with the unsubscribe link in each one; emails about your account and payments cannot.
  • To answer you when you ask for help, and to keep the service secure.
  • So our support team can see your account and your posts as you see them, to help you. They can look, not change anything.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who else handles it

  • Anthropic, whose Claude models write the posts. They receive your topic, your business profile and the research for the post.
  • Stock photo libraries (Pexels, Unsplash and Pixabay), which receive search words for the images in a post, never your personal details.
  • The platform your website runs on (WordPress, Shopify or Wix), which receives the posts we deliver to it.
  • Google, whose Google Analytics counts visits to aiblogwrite.com and freeblogwriter.com (see Cookies and analytics below).
  • Our hosting, email and payment providers, who keep the service running, send our emails and take payments for us, under their own security and privacy terms.

Cookies and analytics

Our account pages set one cookie: the one that keeps you logged in. None of our websites use advertising cookies.

aiblogwrite.com and freeblogwriter.com use Google Analytics to count visits: which pages are read, roughly where visitors are (country and city, worked out from the IP address), their device and browser, the site that sent them, and whether they clicked Sign up or Log in. Google Analytics sets cookies to do this. In the EU, the UK and Switzerland it only does so after you accept; elsewhere it is on unless you decline. You can change your choice any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of the page. We use these numbers only to improve the sites; they are not used for ads.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while you have an account. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except invoices, which we keep as long as tax law requires. Posts already on your website stay there: they are yours.

Your choices

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, take a copy, or have it deleted. To do any of these, write to us at support@aiblogwrite.com.

Changes

When we change this policy, we update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will ask you before it applies.
